Y ya llego! Nicholas Martinez and Pepe Montez are representing timba to the fullist in Miami. These guys are a great young band full of energy with nothing in between the lines. N'Taya brings that hard agressive timba and no one is going to stop them. This is a highly spirited young band full of motivation and a will to defend the music they love! I have nothing but the deepest admiration for the young and very talented Nicholas Martinez who defendes timba music from the heart and openly expresses his disgust for comercialized timba and the lack of Timba in Miami. Nicholas is the voice for timbero's who are starving for the real thing. This guy speaks for many of us ... including me! Nicholas Martinez tiene la llave! Saturday's nights are getting hotter in Miami with Michel Calvo y Su Miami Power Band at La Bodeguita del Medio of Miami. Michel Calvo in my opinion is the most authentic timbero living in Miami today. If you are looking for a timbero with 100% bomba and sentimiento this is your guy! Michel is a very passionate singer with amazing improvisational skills. He is that type of singer who is a one man band. The guy represents everything you would want, and look for in a timba singer. Timbero's go support Michel Calvo y Su Miami Power Band on Saturday's. Here is a look at Michel's Band this past Saturday night.

LA NUEVA GENERACION LLEGO! THE NEW GENERATION IS HERE! The young and talented timberos of N'Taya are almost ready to blast off their debut album which promises to be a 90s fury type of hardcore timba which has been lacking in the Timba scene. The album will feature young timba talents like Nicolas Martinez (vocals), Pepe Montes (piano/producer), and Ernesto Fernandez (flute) to name a few. N'Taya will be playing some of their new material for the very first time on April 16th in promotion of their debut album. I am here to say that the wait is officially over! The Carlos Manuel timba fans know and remeber is back and in the best form that I have seen him in since his arrival in Miami. Carlos Manuel is the real deal and with musicians like Wilber on Bass (member of El Klan in Cuba) the band is near top form. I highly recomend for you to check out Carlos Manuel live the next time you get a chance. This guy is a true talent!
