Ian Stewart

A native of Syracuse NY and currently residing in Chicago Il, bassist Ian Stewart has enjoyed an active and exciting musical career since relocating to the "windy city" in September 2009.  Within this relatively short period of time he has shared the stage with Paul Wertico, Chicago Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble (CALJE), Darwin Noguera's Evoltuion Quartet, Hector Silveira and A Cor Do Brasil among others. Ian is probably best known for his time performing with Moonjune recording artists Marbin. During his two year stint with the band, Ian toured extensively across continental North America opening for some of fusion's elite such as Allan Holdsworth, Virgil Donati, Jimmy Haslip, Scott Henderson, Jeff Berlin and Mike Clarke.

Since leaving Marbin in July 2012, Ian has returned to a busy performance schedule in the Chicagoland area where he continues to pursue his ever growing interest in timba, salsa, latin jazz and other world music genres.
