Other Beyond Salsa books on Piano, Percussion, Bass, Bongó, Ensemble

This is a hands-on course using singing and dancing exercises to master one the most infamously confusing topics in all of music: clave.

I was inspired to write this book after years of studying, playing, teaching and discussing Cuban music, reading all the available literature, and observing the teaching and discussions of musicians, students, dancers, famous artists and other interested parties.

It seems that every discussion and lecture on clave starts with promise and simplicity and quickly devolves into utter mayhem, leaving me thinking to myself, “it doesn’t have to be this hard”.   Hopefully this book will prove that theory.
