Danny Lozada Concert
Danny Lozada and his 11 piece band treated a large crowd at Yoshi's Oakland on November 25, 2009 with two sets of sizzling timba. Danny is truly one of the great performers in Cuban music. Haifa Arango on coro came with Danny (both live in Florida and Mexico), Gustavo Ramírez on piano came up from Los Angeles fo the gig and the rest of the band are some of the best Afro-Caribbean musicians in Northern California including Carlos Caro on congas, Omar Ledezma coro and percussion, Yanill Nario on bass, Colin Douglas on drum set, Patricio Angulo on timbales, Coto Pincheira on teclado and Roberto Morris and Julius Meléndez on trumpets.
