Hi,

I try to search orquesta Révé with the search engine “google custom search” on the front page.

It didn’t find any résult, probably due to an encoding problem somewhere.

“Your search – oquesta révé – did not match any documents.

Suggestions:

  • Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
  • Try different keywords.
  • Try more general keywords.
  • Try fewer keywords.”

Btw, is it possible to have an html editor for the forums posts ?
or at least bbcode or something ?

thxs
Denis

I will ask Mike about the code page for the search engine. Obvioulsy it isn’t taking national characters right now. There are some formatting coomands avaiable for the form but I expect you’ve sen that I don’t know exactly what formats you’d like to be able to use but here’s what we have right now
*bold

Place an asterisk on both sides of a word to make it bold.
italics
Place an underscore on both sides of a word to make it appear in italics. *
bq. (use this to quote someone)
Place a bq. (a letter b, a letter q and a period) before a phrase to make it appear in italics, in its own line, and surround it with a gray bar. This indicates you are quoting someone. *
link
Place double quotation marks on both sides of a word to make it a link. To indicate the target link place a colon (:) after the last quotation mark and write the url with http:// prefix. *
link*
Same as above but will make the link appear in bold (preferred use). * * bullet list
Place an asterisk and a space before a word to place it in a bulleted list. * # numbered list
Place a pound sign and a space before a word to place it in a numbered list.

Hi Michelle,

ok thanks, it’s more easy with code explanation above the edit form. (I didn’t see it when I post my first msg).

the code seems to be some kind of wiki code, not very usual to encounter it in a forum but it work.

I’m sure its possible to build an extension to authorize html or bb code like most of the others forums on the web, but too bad, I’m not a developper…

I hope its possible to modify the google search form to accept national characters, there’s a lot in cuban music…

cheers
Denis

Well thanks for bringing it to our attention. Mike has passed it on to our technical guy so depending on his workload I hope we can announce a new improved search tool soon.
