Elito y Su Charangón have two more concerts on their US tour before heading back to Cuba: Miami and Tampa. Don't miss your last chance to catch them live in the US! But the Charangón is not stopping long to rest, in September they have two very special concerts in Lima, Peru together with Los Van Van ! Then on October 1st they play in Toronto and in mid-October they begin the long-awaited European tour . Yorgis CD release party at The Place 833 SW 29 Avenue, Miami, Florida 33135

Se dará a cabo un concierto de lanzamiento del CD ELEGANCE de Yorgis Goiricelaya el jueves 22 de julio 2010, en la localidad de THE PLACE OF MIAMI. Se harán los principales temas en vivo del CD y a la vez se va a grabar disco y DVD en vivo donde van a participar selectos músicos cubanos de Miami, Costa Rica y New York. Issac Delgado estará participando y Luis Enrique (aún por confirmar), va a ser un evento el cual será promocionado por Radio WDNA jazz, y Canal 41 Miami, respectívamente días antes del concierto, y contando con el apoyo de ustedes 

Elegance es un proyecto sexteto de jazz latino con fusiones de música cubana y "world music". En la grabación participaron músicos como Isaac Delgado, Paquito D´Rivera, Osmany Paredes y muchos mas, grandes exponentes del género viviendo en USA.

Aisar Hernández celebrates his birthday today!

Congratulations Aisar from everyone at Timba.com!

Tonight is a unique opportunity for Cuban music fans to see what is  in my opinion the most hardcore of all the bands today: Elito Revé y Su Charangón and to celebrate the birthday of one of the most talented young musicians in Cuba today: Aisar Hernández, bassist and musical director of the Charangón. His brilliant arrangements and amazing bass style are a huge asset to the band. Like Elio Revé Matos, Elito Revé has a rare talent for finding the best and the brightest musicians and forming them into the monsters of Cuban music.

So here is my recommendation to the people of New York and anyone who lives close enough. Take a plane, a train, an automobile or even a bike to SOBs tonight. The concert will blow your mind and afterwards you can buy Aisar a drink and wish him well on his birthday...and no, I don't know how old he is. Oh, and someone send me a better picture of Aisar for his page at Timba.com please.
