Cuba based rap duo, Zona Franka, blends traditional rhythms with the grit and swagger of hip-hop and rap vocal phrasings. Their clever shout choruses create instant tropical dance classics using their unique self-titled "changui con flow" style.

SpanishEnglishDiscography - Hey You Loca - 8. El verbo de amor

With "Pare Cochero" moved to the end we now have a 10-track Timba disc and the ending of "El Placer" in C major surges beautifully into the Dbsus7 opening of "El verbo del amor". The harmonic modulations of the opening and cuerpo are beautiful, but closer to a Jazz standard than Timba, and even the first coro is mellower and more predictable than most of CH's material, but the arrangement gets more and more Charangafied as it goes along. By 4:51 [audio example 47] the patented early CH groove has returned and will maintain itself through the rest of this chart and the next 3 as well. The final coro features another great example of dual coros. They don't overlap but the second coro, "charanguera" is recorded with a drastically different reverb, making it sound as if it's being sung by a distinctly different coro section. [audio example 48] This also had to be a conscious or unconscious inspiration for one of the hottest Timba tracks of all time, Manolito's "Baila que Baila". [audio example 49]
