Negrón is a monster conguero with a vicious tumbao and extensive mastery of all aspects of Afro-cuban percussion, including batá and guaguancó. He was a member of Issac's first band with Samuel Formell and also the next incarnation with Giraldo Piloto. He later moved on to Irakere. Today he can be frequently heard at Café Cantante, La Zorra y el Cuervo and other Havana clubs sitting in with just about everyone. [Kevin Moore]
