Lázaro González is the corista, business manager, and brother of Manuel González, aka El Médico de la Salsa.

On one West Coast tour, Manolín suddenly went back to Cuba and the band was left high and dry with no lead singer. I happened to be in the crowd that night (and the next, and the next). Lázaro filled in on lead vocals, and neither the proprieters nor the master of ceremonies, nor a fair percentage of the crowd realized that the "El Médico de la Salsa" they were hearing had a forged medical license! And those of us who did know weren't letting on! The band still smoked, and Lázaro nailed all the guías. The group proceeded to play various other gigs in Florida while they waited for Manolín's eventual return. [Kevin Moore]
