Cuba based rap duo, Zona Franka, blends traditional rhythms with the grit and swagger of hip-hop and rap vocal phrasings. Their clever shout choruses create instant tropical dance classics using their unique self-titled "changui con flow" style.

SpanishEnglishTimba.com Premio

Timba.com: Thanks to Vannia that we were able to do this interview with the Best Timba Coro Singer.

Vannia: Thank you. Well, thank you very much to Timba.com for giving me this award. I wasn't expecting it, I didn't know about it, but it makes me very happy to know that I am in your hearts and in the music in this category. Thank you very much.

Timba.com: Can you tell us a little about you current projects?

Vannia: Well, now Vannia is doing a lot...Vannia is a soloist, now Vannia is not singing with any group. I sing with everyone who invites me, who is making good music and who is doing something that interests me, you know. But I'm tied up in my work as a soloist, and I'm now preparing my first CD, which I should begin recording in the middle of this month, in the middle now of January. It still doesn't have a title because I still don't know what it will be called, but I'm going to recreate as many genres as possible. I'm going to do all of the music from the 30s to what is going on today. And it is a very great personal satisfaction for me as a musician, because I'm going to be able to do what I want, how I want and in the way that I want. The musical producer is Maestro Emilio Vega, one of the great producers of this moment in Cuban music. I am very satisfied and really want to get started and hope that everything goes well and that Timba.com and the people who follow Timba.com will like it. Don't worry, as soon as the CD is released, the place it will come out first will be at Timba.com [laughing].

Timba.com: Thank you very much.
