Jaque mate's groove is the most restrained and at the same time the funkiest of the "Timba Dura Trilogy". The live version can't improve on the studio mix -- Manolín's final studio album has one of the better mixes of any Timba CD -- but the faster tempo increases the sense of urgency and adds new material, including this new coro.
