Tom Ehrlich - 11/28/2007 Harbor Dance Class
LOUIE BAUZÓ AND THE AFRO-CARIBBEAN DANCE CLASS
HARBOR CONSERVATORY, NEW YORK CITY
NOVEMBER 28, 2007
TEXT AND PHOTOS BY TOM EHRLICH © 2008
I had the opportunity to visit a Afro-Caribbean dance class at Harbor Conservatory on November 28, 2007, while visiting New York City. The class, which was ethnically and age diverse has the opportunity to dance to live music performed by percussionists and singers, Louie Bauzó and friends, playing authentic Afro-Cuban music of the orishas. More information on Louie Bauzó and Harbor Conservatory can be found in my report on my visit to the Harbor Conservatory Big Band rehearsals.
