Tom Ehrlich just returned from Havana where he photographed The Pedrito Martínez Group recording their second CD with a variety of guest artists including Issac Delgado, Telmary, Román Díaz and Descemer Bueno.

Pedrito's band will play Yoshi's, Oakland at 7:30, Saturday, Oct. 24 and open for Irakere in Rohnert Park on Sunday. Irakere plays Santa Cruz (no opening act) on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

The group was just in Portland last night at Jimmy Mak's Jazz Club and did a 7pm show and 9:30pm show. Both were amazing, many people went to both. The energy and musicality was something that the Portland crowd rarely, if ever, gets to see. I have listened to his music, but this was my first opportunity to see them live and they did not disappoint. Unreal show!
