Chuchito Valdés returns to the Jazz Showcase in Chicago, which also recently presented Jane Bunnett and Maqueque, Thursday through Sunday, June 29-July 2. By Chuchito's own account, he honed some of his Jazz chops during some time in Chicago in an earlier period in his life, and he always plays a beautiful set (he is fronting a trio this time).
