Volume 2 covers the earliest piano tumbaos of Arcaño, Cachao & Co. and continues through the Golden Age of Beny Moré, Celia Cruz, Orquesta Aragón, Conjunto Modelo, et al.
Volume 3 should go live on LPM this weekend and live in hard-copy in a week or two.
Inspired by the recent surge in Cuban tours, I've also made quite a bit of progress lately on the first three Melón volumes - V6, V7 and V8.
Massive Quake in Haiti
The Richter scale is logarithmic, so while the 6.5 in Eureka knocked out David Peñalosa's power for a couple hours, the 7.0 in Haiti was truly devastating. Please help if you can.

Pellejo Seco at Yoshi's Tuesday
Bay Area son band Pellejo Seco has a new album, La idea, and will be playing tracks from it at Yoshi's in Oakland next Tuesday, January 12. The new album includes a special session recorded with members of Septeto Nacional last month.
