Daymé Arocena and her group, all living in Cuba, consists of Daymé on vocals and small percussion, Jorge Luis Lazarga on piano and Rafael Aldama on bass.  This young trio, all in their 20's, performed at The New Parish in Oakland California on April 3, 2016, played music which was an organic mixture of Afro-Cuban folkloric music, soul, salsa and jazz. [click here for the full gallery] For the past two years, DJ Leydis has been bringing a “little bit of Cuba” to the San Francisco Bay Area. Once a month, currently at The New Parish in Oakland, California, DJ Leydis and a group of her friends present a Cuban House Party (called La Rumba Q' Tumba), with DJs Leydis and Walt Digz spinning hot timba dance music, alternating with live performances by Bay Area rumberos.
