ENGLISH: This weekend El Tren Bala, which now includes singer Marcelo Villar, will be performing their last shows in Lima before starting their European 2017 summer tour organized by Greco Bayobar. The confirmed dates are posted below and if you know of any others please send an email with the date, city and venue. 

Ángelito & El Tren Bala released their first CD "Mi Historia" at online vendors in 2016 and are only weeks away from releasing the singles "El Rey Del Timbón" and "Todo Está Escrito En Esta Vida". The new album will also include Marcelo on lead vocals.

They just finished a concert with Michel Maza last night and took a minute after the concert to record a greeting for the fans in Italy.

ENGLISH: During the next two weeks, Bill Tilford's radio program From the Isle of Music features an interview in two parts  with  Bobby Carcassés that they recorded in Bobby's home in May.   Bobby is the creator of Jazz Plaza and one of the most important people  in Jazz in Cuba.  His new album Blues con Montuno won this year's Cubadisco in the Jazz Soloists category.  If you care about Jazz in Cuba, you won't want to miss these episodes.  
ESPAÑOL:  Durante las próximas dos semanas, el programa de radio de Bill Tilford, From the Isle of Music, presenta una entrevista en dos partes con Bobby Carcassés que grabaron en el hogar de Bobby en mayo.  Bobby es creador de Jazz Plaza y una de las personas más importantes en Jazz en Cuba. Jane Bunnett and Maqueque are at the Jazz Showcase in Chicago from June 15-18.   Jane always has impressive projects, and this one, an all-female ensemble, features several first-rate jazzistas cubanas, including this year's Opera Prima winner in Cubadisco, Yissy Garcia, on drums.

Daymé Arocena is doing a mini-tour of four US cities this week - Chicago on the 15th, Boston on the 16th, New York on the 17th and Croton-on Hudson on the 18th.   She will be bringing at least some of her stellar backing band including two-time Cubadisco winner Ruly Herrera, who in addition to having his own project is also her current drummer.   Here's a taste of why you should go if you can:
