ENGLISH:  The live performances in venues for the 36th Jazz Plaza (January 21-24)  and the 16th International Colloquium have been canceled due to the COVID-19 situation in Havana, but prerecorded sessions of both concerts and the Colloquium will be broadcast in Cuba, and Hothouse, a Chicago-based not for profit that was a partner in events streamed from Cuba last year, will be streaming interesting events each night in its "Hothouse Meets Havana" series. This will feature prominent jazzistas from both Cuba and the United States.  The daily program and additional details follow below.  
ESPAÑOL: Las presentaciones en vivo en las sedes del 36 ° Jazz Plaza (21-24 de enero) y el XVI Coloquio Internacional han sido canceladas debido a la situación del COVID-19 en La Habana, pero las sesiones pregrabadas de  conciertos y el Coloquio serán transmitidas en Cuba , y Hothouse, una organización sin fines de lucro con sede en Chicago que produjo y facilitó eventos transmitidos desde Cuba el año pasado, transmitirá eventos interesantes cada noche en su serie "Hothouse Meets Havana". ENGLISH: Chicago-based not for profit HotHouse, which has presented several events related to Cuban music for many years including livestreaming support for two earlier virtual concerts from Cuba this year, will be livestreaming sessions from Jazz Plaza, which will be essentially a virtual event, this year due to COVID. This will be the first time that sessions from the festival will be livestreamed beyond Cuba. This will be presented on the streaming platform HotHouseGlobal January 21-24. Tickets and more details are now available at Hothouse.net

Toni Basanta, an immigrant to Vermont from Cuba, where he had been involved in various aspects of the music and broadcasting sectors, hosts a television program there, the Havana Fairfax Connection, which frequently features fine Cuban music videos as well as some US music videos  (he also has a radio program, The Cuban Bridge, which is currently on a COVID-related hiatus).
During December, every day of the month at 12 Noon Eastern Standard Time, the Havana Fairfax Connection will be playing music videos. The dates which have Cuban music videos are listed below. Worth watching if you are able. If you can't do it at broadcast time, these are also archived on the station's website.

ENGLISH: Issac Delgado is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his orchestra with the  remastered re-release of his first solo album, "Dando La Hora". The 2020 mastering was done by Livan Mesa and Yorgis Goiricelaya. Tracks 1,2,3,5,6, and 8 also include the trombones recorded in 2001 by Amaury Pérez (arr. by Juan Manuel Ceruto) that replaced the original sampled horns. "Dando La Hora" the Gold Edition is available now on the usual digital sites.

La masterización de 2020 estuvo a cargo de Livan Mesa y Yorgis Goiricelaya. Las pistas 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 y 8 también incluyen los trombones grabados en 2001 por Amaury Pérez (arreglo de Juan Manuel Ceruto) que reemplazaron a los metales sampleados originales.
