Some noteworthy aspects for 2026 include the continuing geographical expansion of the festival, which now takes place in  multiple venues in Havana, Santiago de Cuba, Santa Clara and Holguín. Artists from more than 19 countries will participate.. Also, a music industry forum, Primera Linea, will take place again in Havana January 30 and 31.  
One thing in addition to the spectacular quality of the concerts that places  Jazz Plaza above most jazz festivals around the world is the Coloquio Internacional de Jazz "Leonardo Acosta in Memoriam"  with lectures, panels and musical workshops that takes place during the day.  This year is its 20th edition
